“She’s always been a voracious reader, but since she started New Haven Counts, she’s been devouring books like crazy,” said Kyra.
Those who attended at least 90 percent of their math tutoring sessions improved their math skills by an average of 25 percent.
The New Haven Tutoring Initiative’s approach to personalized learning has been instrumental in helping students achieve academic success. By providing one-on-one attention and small group instruction, the program allows students to work at their own pace and focus on areas where they need the most improvement. For example, a student who is struggling with reading comprehension may receive additional support from a tutor, while a student who excels in math may be challenged with more advanced problems.
The initiative aims to provide financial support to students who are pursuing higher education. The initiative, which is part of the New HYTEs tennis program, has been gaining momentum in the past few months.
